Karl Kröner, also known as the "painter of Lößnitz", lived 1914-1972 in the so-called tower house on the grounds of "Grundhof" estate in Niederlößnitz.

Again and again the painter was drawn to this motif of Radebeul, downstream towards Meissen. The ambivalent landscape on the river, the steep slopes sometimes leads to the shore in order to then withdraw on flowering meadows and release individual rock formations as a reminder of the emergence of this scene, it was an inexhaustible fund of motifs inspiration to compositional and scenic discoveries and certainly haven for mind and soul.
