    Karolina Jaklewicz is a Wroclaw-based painter, writer, curator, and scientist. She uses the language of geometry in her art. Jaklewicz participated in plein-air workshops organized by Bozena Kowalska, alongside artists such as Jerzy Kalucki and Dorota Grynczel. However, after 2016, her painting became "geometry in a state of tension." Through geometry, the artist sought to express her feelings about the subsequent, devastating crises affecting Poland and the world, including the situation of women and the LGBT community, the war in Ukraine, the migration and refugee crises, and the populisms and nationalisms threatening democracy.
