Katarzyna Oronska was born in 1984 in Tarnowskie Gory, Poland. In 2010, she defended her MA in painting at the Art Institute in Cieszyn. The artist's painting inspiration has long been the cities she lives in: Bytom, Kraków, New York and Stockholm.

She portrayed people, often completely unknown to her, reflecting the atmosphere of a specific place and moment. Today, man is still her leitmotiv. It shows him as an actor entangled in conventions, the theater of life, products of human culture, and the collective (the series "The Public").

Contrast is an individual in an intimate world where the boundary between reality and fairy-tale begins to blur, and the performances become specific metaphors (the "Book" cycle)...
