    Katherine Adams Lovell (1877-1965)

    Katherine Adams Lovell was born in New York City in 1877 and died in 1965. She worked in oils and acrylics to create brightly colored impressionistic coastal scenes, landscapes, interiors, and genre. Children walking up a sunlit road on a beautiful summer afternoon, paths cut through a brush covered cliff, and small boats docked along the water's edge are all part of her oeuvre. In 1929 Lovell was living at 32 St. Paul Street, Brooklyn, NY and in 1934, her residence is listed as Brooklyn.
