    Born in Taunton, MA on March 31, 1897. Hodges served in the Navy during WWI and then moved to San Francisco. He worked there as a freelance retouch artist for many years before settling in Los Angeles. For a few years he worked for Disney Studios before establishing a studio near Pershing Square. He later was a staff artist for North American Aviation until his retirement. Hodges died in Los Angeles on Oct. 10, 1978.
