Konstantin Aleksandrovich Prokhorov was a Russian artist born in Ivanovo in 1924. He studied at the Ivanovo Art College and the N. Samokish Simferopol Art College. Prokhorov was a Honoured Art Worker of the Ukranian Soviet Socialist Republic and a Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. He was the head of the Krym Regional section of the Artists’ Union of the Ukranian Soviet Socialist Republic and the chairman of the military commission of the Moscow section of the Artists’ Union. Prokhorov had one-man shows in Kiev, Sebastopol, Simferopol, Moscow, and in the Lower and Upper Chambers of the Russian Parliament in Moscow, and in the Federation Council.
