Koorosh Shishegaran was born in Qazvin, Iran, in 1945 and studied interior design at the Tehran College of Decorative Arts, graduating in 1973. Shishegaran began his career working in interior design, a discipline that informed his sensitivity to structure, spatial balance, and the relationship between form and environment. Alongside this work, he developed a parallel practice in painting, gradually establishing himself within the contemporary Iranian art scene.
