About Lawrence Lee

  • Biography

An artist and poet, Lawrence W. Lee creates symbolic Native American images, many of them reflective of his own personal journey of struggling with mental depression. His book, Living With an Imposter, published in 2007, is that story combined with coping with his wife's Alzheimer's Disease. His wife, whom he describes as the 'love of his life', was settled in Tucson after her illness took over her life, and he moved to Guatemala near Lake Atitlan.

Lawrence Lee has had a career as a professional artist for almost four decades. He was born in Arkansas and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and has variously resided in those places as well as in Patagonia, Arizona and Ambergris Caye, Belize.
