    Lee Dudley (1860 - 1942)

    An important wildfowl decoy* carver, Lee Dudley was born in Knotts Island, North Carolina and he appears to have lived there his whole life. Dudley decoys are on the "Top 50 Decoys Ever Sold at Auction" list and in the book Decoys - North America's One Hundred Greatest (see AskART book references). He and his work are discussed in just about every major book about decoy collecting and decoy carving history.
