    Leo Erb 1923 St. Ingbert - 2012 Kaiserslautern German artist;

    1940-43 attended the School of Applied Arts in Kaiserslautern;

    1946/1947 studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Saarbrücken, with a focus on Boris Kleint, who represented Johannes Itten's Bauhaus teachings;

    1948/49 own studio in St. Ingbert;

    1957 co-founder of the ''Neue Gruppe Saar'';

    1961-75 worked in Paris; 1977 Participation in Documenta 6 in Kassel;

    2008 presentation of the ''Art Prize of the Saarland'' (fine arts);

    numerous individual and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad;

    his entire work is characterized by the line and the color white in all shades....
