    Leo Paul Samuel Robert was a painter of history, genre and landscapes, born on March 19, 1951, in Reid-sur-Bienne and died in 1923. Son and pupil of Aurèle Robert, also worked in Munich in 1869. He then visited the main Italian cities. From 1873 to 1882, he lived in Paris. At first he spent about a month at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in the atelier of Gérôme, then went to work only from nature and the great masters. He debuted at the Paris Salon with a landscape, "The zephyrs of a summer night", which earned him a medal. In 1878, he received a silver medal at the Exposition Universelle.Encheres Dogny
