    A self-taught painter, Lino Martínez arrived in Santiago de Compostela with Dr. Blanco Rivero in 1914, and there he began to work as a nurse and operating theatre draughtsman in the Royal Hospital.

    During these years he frequented the artistic circles of Compostela, especially the studio of Tito Vázquez, and finally decided to take part in the National Art Exhibition in the company of Bonome and Asorey. In 1926 he obtained a grant from the Pontevedra Provincial Council, and that same year the curator of the Holy Year Exhibition selected one of his works.

    At present his paintings are widely distributed in the municipalities of Santiago, Marín and Vilagarcía, in the Provincial Museums of Pontevedra, Pobo Galego, das ...
