    Liu Keng-Yi's ,born in Tokyo, Japan in 1938. His father is the famous Taiwanese painter-Liu Chi-Xian. Liu returned back to Taiwan in 1946; he had been teaching at Pintong Junior High since 1969 till he moved to Kaohsiung and aimed to be a professional painter. His inspiration was from the voyages in Japan, Europe, Americas and New Zealand. Liu had won several important Taiwanese domestic art awards; in 1962 his solo exhibition was held at Gallery of Taiwan News in Kaohsiung. He is an artist with abundant sensibility; he excels in capturing sorrow and joy of life as well as harmony and disaccord between nature and human.
