    Louis Montagne:

    Collaborated in 1900 with Paul Saïn in the decoration of the restaurant Le Train Bleu of the Gare de Lyon in Paris.

    Exhibited in Paris at the Salon d'Automne in 1901, and was declared out of competition in 1911 which earned him a travel scholarship.

    Named Knight of the Legion of Honor, and was made an officer in 1932.

    Lived in Paris and in the village of Angles at Pontmartin Castle

    Was a member of the Group of Thirteen and the new group of regional artists.

    Appointed director of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Avignon from 1920 to 1928 and then curator of the Museum of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon.
