    Louis Barnaba, born in Brussels in 1826, is a Belgian marine painter. He studied painting in The Hague with Louis Meijer (nl). He made scenes of sea or seaside on the French and English coasts.

    He lived for many years in Paris then in Ghent and Ixelles.

    He was active until the mid-1880s. In 1864, he participated in the Salon of Antwerp with two paintings: Naufrage du Panama.and Six men of the crew saved by the Dauphin and Marine, heavy weather.

    In 1868, he exhibited two paintings at the Triennale of Ghent: Small port on the coasts of Zuyderzee and Naufrage on the coasts of Brittany.
