    Louis Belzile is a painter and sculptor who was born in Rimouski, Quebec. His mediums are oils, acrylic, bronze, concrete and mixed mediums. His subjects are mostly abstract non-objective and semi abstract political commentary figures. His styles are lyrical abstraction, geometric abstraction, abstract expressionism and semi-abstract.

    He studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto (1948 -1952); with André L'hote in Paris (1953 - 1954); at the University of Montreal (1958) earning a B.A. degree; and at l' Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal (1960 - 1961).
