    Born on March 13, 1923 in New Haven Connecticut, he studied at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1948. He became a Skowhegan (Maine) School of Painting and Sculpture scholar in 1948 and subsequently went to study abroad. Geraci received certificates from the Academie Julian in 1948-49, and the Beaux Arts Academie in 1949, both in Paris. He also studied at the Italian Academy in Rome, receiving a certificate in 1950. Returning to the U.S., he studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (B.F.A., 1953).
