    Ludwig Lanckow lived from 1845 to 1908. He was a painter of the Düsseldorf School. In 1891 he worked at the artists’ colony ‘Villinghäuser’ and with the artists’ group ‘Der Schwalm’. His oeuvre includes atmospheric landscape and genre scenes. Lanckow was active mainly in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. Between 1880 and 1882 he exhibited several times in Hanover, Cologne, Bremen and Berlin. (cko)
