Manuel Torres Martinez was a prominent Galician artist of the 20th century. He received scholarships to study in Madrid and Paris, expanding his artistic vision. Torres collaborated with various magazines and newspapers, gaining recognition for his work. Influenced by Carlos Maside, he excelled in easel painting, illustration, and sculpture. During the Civil War, Torres retreated to his hometown of Marin, where he created prolifically and gained popularity among the Galician population. His success led to anthological exhibitions and his works are featured in museums, galleries, and private collections across Galicia.
