Marie Martin was born in California and had an extensive career in the California and Southwest art world under the name MCCLURE. She exhibited at The Jones Gallery, O'Brien's Art Emporium, Main Trail Galleries, Joe Wade Fine Arts, The Kennedy Galleries, the Amarillo Rotary exhibit, Laguna Beach Art Festival, and Death Valley Invitational exhibit, among others.

Marie's paintings are represented in many important private and corporate collections including the Valley National Bank Collection, First National Bank of Whittier, First Federal Savings & Loan, Jay and Renfro Insurance, Circle K Corporation, Santa Ana Land & Cattle, McCormick Ranch Corporation, The Barry Goldwater Foundation, and others.
