An eclectic artist, Mario Micheletti attended the Accademia Albertina, a favorite pupil of the teacher Giacomo Grosso. In the 1920s he moved to London, dedicating himself to portraiture for exponents of English nobility and the royal house. Mario Micheletti took part in numerous public exhibitions: in 1923 at the Turin Quadrennial, at the Venice Biennale in 1924-26 and at the Rome Quadrennial in 1925. In 1934 he took part in the first exhibition of the Fascist National Union of Fine Arts in Florence with Self-portrait: a work influenced by magical realism.
