    Marion Rodger Hamilton Harvey was a Scottish animal painter born in Ayr in 1886. She lived and worked in Glasgow and was known for her dog and horse paintings. Marion was part of a group of artists called the "Close Coterie" which included Hornel, Taylor, and King. She exhibited frequently at various art institutions and her works are in collections worldwide, including those of HM The Queen and late Queen Mother. Her pastel works have sold for up to US$7000 (currently £5184) at auction.
