About Mary Ann Davis

  • Biography

    Mary Ann Davis, an award-winning Indiana artist, enjoys painting and drawing from life each week and regularly paints en plein air. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in lithography, from the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis in 1976, and studied painting under Antonious Raemaekers and Lois Griffel.

    Davis was selected as one of ten juried artists whose work comprises volume two of the state-supported "Painting Indiana" project, entitled "The Changing Face of Agriculture". This project features an interactive, traveling exhibition of the artists' work, and a book featuring the paintings published by the Indiana University Press.
