    Mor Than was a Hungarian artist who studied painting alongside his legal studies. He participated in the 1848 War of Independence as an observer due to illness, creating watercolors based on his observations. Than studied in Vienna and traveled abroad between 1855 and 1860, focusing on portraits and Hungarian historical themes. He collaborated on wall paintings at the Vigadó in Pest and the staircase frieze at the National Museum. Than received numerous awards for his work and later worked in Venice, Florence, Budapest, and Trieste. His artworks are housed in collections such as the Hungarian National Gallery and various Hungarian museums.
