    Nicola Malinconico was an Italian Baroque painter. He received his early training from his father and later became a disciple of Massimo Stanzione, Andrea Belvedere, and Luca Giordano. He was known for his Baroque painting style and was called to replace Luca Giordano when the latter went to Spain to make the Martirio di Sant'Alessandro altarpiece.
