    Niklaus Stoecklin, a Swiss artist, was a key figure in the New Objectivity movement. He began his artistic journey by abandoning an apprenticeship as a flat painter to learn fine art painting from his uncle. Stoecklin exhibited his works for the first time in Basel in 1914 and focused on creating posters for decades. He traveled extensively in Switzerland and abroad, forming friendships with notable figures like collector Georg Reinhart and artist Albert Müller. Despite falling into obscurity after World War II, Stoecklin's work experienced a resurgence of interest in the 1970s with the rediscovery of New Objectivity. His art has been featured in numerous international exhibitions dedicated to 1920s art.
