Biography
The reviver of the Hungarian art of Tapestry weaving. She landed in the Manufactures des Gobelins in 1911. Her first public show exhibited her in the company of her father, Károly Ferenczy, her elder brother who was also a painter, and her twin brother Béni, who was a sculptor. She was a member and co-exhibitor of KUT from 1926, but only moved to Budapest in 1932, after years spent in Nagybánya and Brassow. Two successful exhibitions eliciting wide public acclaim were made from her work in Holland, in 1935. She did not only design her gobleins, but also executed them, which contradicted the practice of the day.
