    Olof Arborelius was born in 1842 in Orsa, Sweden, and passed away in 1915 in Stockholm. He was a Swedish landscape and genre painter known for his realistic style and vivid depictions of rural life.

    Arborelius studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, recommended by Johan Fredrik Höckert, and later trained under Edward Bergh. He received a travel scholarship that allowed him to study in Düsseldorf, Paris, Munich, and Rome. While in Rome, he became associated with the Virtuosi al Pantheon.

    Upon returning to Sweden, Arborelius became a member of the Academy and later served as a professor of landscape painting from 1902 to 1909. He also taught at the Technical School in Stockholm and was affilia...
