    Oscar Larsen was born in 1882. He became a Danish-born Austrian history and genre painter, draftsman, illustrator and graphic artist. He was the son and pupil of the painter Carl Christian Larsen. From 1897-1901 Oscar was a pupil of the graphic teaching and research institute Vienna under Joseph Eugen Hörwarter and Viktor Jasper. From 1901-09 he studied at the Vienna Art Academy and here took a master class with Alois Delug. He took study visits to Venice and Munich and was a war painter during World War I. Initially he worked freelance in Vienna and then in 1932-42 in Germany (Berlin) before moving back to Vienna. From 1919, Oscar Larsen was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. He was also an honorary member of the Royal Academy LonThieme-Becker, Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Dressler, Reich Chamber of Fine Arts Berlin, Fuchs, Kürschner's graphic handbook 1967 and Wikipedia....
