    Otto Flath was a German artist born in 1906 and passed away in 1987. He completed an apprenticeship with ivory carver Karl Schneider from 1922 to 1924 and received education at the Kiel School of Art and Crafts and the Hamburg State School of Art from 1928 to 1930.

    Flath worked as a freelancer in Kiel from 1932 and founded the art association Kiel. In 1936, Otto established his own workshop in Bad Segeberg. Flath created over 3000 sculptures and 40 altarpieces during his career. He is known for his wooden sculptures, paintings, and drawings. Otto's works can be found in various locations, including the Bad Segeberg and Kunsthalle Otto Flath museums.
