    Attended the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts, then worked as a book maker in Leipzig and as an artisan in Munich

    From 1895 studied at the Academy in Munich with Wilhelm by Diez and Paul Hoecker

    Active as an illustrator for children's and fairy tale books

    Based in Bruck / Fürstenfeldbruck from 1902-22

    From 1905 also occupied with painting, member of the Munich Artists' Cooperative, member of the Reich Association of Fine Artists in Germany and in the South German Association of Illustrators in Munich
