    Otto Muller Eibenstock was born Curt Otto Müller in 1898 in Dorfstadt near Falkenstein in the Vogtland. From 1920 he called himself "Müller-Eibenstock",

    Otto spent his childhood in Dorfstadt, then from 1913-16 held an apprenticeship as a textile draftsman at the Royal Saxon Art School for Textile Industry Plauen, branch Falkenstein,. Otto studied at the Royal Saxon Art School in Plauen from 1916-17. Then, from 1918-19 Otto Muller Eibenstock served in the war in Zeithain and on the Western Front. During the years 1917-18 and 1919-20 Eibenstock was assistant to the director Prof. Albert Forkel at the Plauen Art School.
