    Pál Udvary was a Hungarian painter born in Budapest in 1900. He was the son of Géza Udvary, who was also a painter and his first teacher at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts.

    Pál continued his studies there under the direction of Ferenc Helbing and Ignác Ujváry before entering the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest in the workshops of Ede Balló and Viktor Olgyai.

    Udvary is known for his landscapes and genre scenes, especially compositions around the circus and gypsies, most often with horses.

    The artist passed away in 1987.
