    Pagani was an Italian Baroque painter from Lombardy. He moved to Venice in 1667 to paint for the Palazzo Molin and was later commissioned to create frescoes in Moravia in 1692. He had a pupil named Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini. Only a few of Pagani's works have survived. In 2004, a museum was established in his birthplace to document the activities of local artists.
