  • Biography

    Born to Italian immigrants in New York City on March 13, 1922, Pat Trivigno was a child prodigy in drawing and painting. Grandson of a sculptor in southern Italy, he had parents who recognized his talents early and, at the age of ten – during the depression - sent him to the Leonardo da Vinci School of Art in Manhattan. Later he attended the High School of Music and Art - the school made famous in the movie FAME – and was in its first graduating class in 1939.

    His student paintings gained the attention of New York Mayor Fiorrello LaGuardia, who displayed several in the Mayor’s office. During his college years he studied at NYU, Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, the University of Iowa, and at the U...
