    Patrick George Cowley-Brown (1918 – 2007) was a well known Canadian war artist, painter, printmaker and commercial artist. His mediums included oils, watercolors, tempera*, pen & ink, charcoal, Conte Crayon* and photo offset printmaking. His subjects as a war artist were military activities on the west coast of Canada during World War II. These included portraits of servicemen, genre scenes of military life (on and off bases), warplanes, military equipment, boats, and the landscapes and sites of the surrounding country. After the war his subjects included marine scenes and landscapes. His styles were Fauvism* and Realism*.
