    Paul Joseph Fenasse is a French painter born in Algiers on August 17, 1899. His childhood took place in Algiers during the Belle Époque. As an artist, his work is part of Orientalism, and he is one of the painters of the School of Algiers. During the First World War, he entered the School of Fine Arts in Algiers. Paul Fenasse was a friend of sculptor Paul Belmondo. They were on the same bench at the Dordor Primary School in Algiers and later met at the School of Fine Arts. His paintings gained success quite quickly. The Society of French Orientalist Painters quickly took an interest in his works, which were regularly exhibited at the Salon of French Orientalist Painters in Paris.
