Based in Seattle, Washington, Paul Mullally became a realist figure and landscape painter, who travelled world wide for subject matter including the Far East and Europe.

Of himself, he says he was a terrible student, struggling through Catholic elementary school as a child growing up in a large Irish Catholic family of twelve children. He was not interested in college, but his father persuaded him to enter Seattle University where he took many art classes.
