    Gustaf von Heideken was born in 1781. Gustaf von Heideken was a student at the Art Academy from 1796-1805. He worked on policy, cartoons and in C. F. Peace League leadership. With Fahlcrantz, Gustaf studies and makes copies of classic works in the Royal (Museum of the Royal Palace). His previous works include some historical compositions, including two major oil paintings of Karl Johan with the transition of the Swedish army over Svinesund 1814. Heideken was influenced by Elias Martin and C. P. Hillström. Heideken turned increasingly to landscape painting. Heideken was admitted as a curator at the Royal Museum in 1807, and was appointed as court painter in 1831. From 1825-1829 he spent time in Germany, France...
