    Pere Pruna was a self-taught artist from Spain who completed his training at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. He began exhibiting in Barcelona at a yo

    He held a successful solo show in Paris and came into contact with intellectuals such as Cocteau, Drieu la Rochelle, and Max Jacob. Pruna also worked on sets and costumes for various musical works, including "Les matelots" and "Oriane". He won several awards for his artwork, including the Nonell Prize in 1936, which was surrounded by controversy due to the use of a photograph from a Parisian pornographic magazine as a model for his painting.
