About Peter Paul Ochs

    Peter Paul Ochs was a sculptor and painter who was born in Tilsit, East Prussia (north east of Poland, since 1945 it is in a part of Russia called Kaliningrad and has been renamed Sovetsk). He emigrated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1952. He moved to Summerland (B.C.) in 1959, returning to Vancouver in 1964. He also lived in Greece from 1982 to 1989, returning to Vancouver where he lived the rest of his life and died.

    His painting and drawing mediums are oil, watercolour and ink. His sculpture mediums are wood (oak, cherry, apricot, cedar), iron, cast stone, bronze and concrete. His painting subjects are abstracts, landscapes and harbour scenes. His sculpture subjects are pr...
