Philip Childs, born in 1964, is an accomplished artist who is recognised as one of the leading wildlife and landscape artists in Ireland. He now lives and paints in County Wexford.

Childs has an innate ability to bring life to his subject. As a painter he is sensitive to the subtleties of light and shade, and to the character of the subject. His attention to detail is meticulous and follows a strict and authentic study of the subject, ensuring the surroundings; body movement and settings are all compatible with their true nature.
