    Using oil paint and mixed media, Abstract artist, Phyllis Bramson creates images that often reflect her interest in theater.

    Bramson was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1941. She attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1963. One year later she earned her Master of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In 1973, she obtained her second Master's degree from the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois. The summer of 1962 was spent in Norfolk, Connecticut studying at the Yale Summer Art School.
