    Pierre Eugene Clairin was born in 1897. Pierre Eugène Clairin was a painter, illustrator and writer. He studied painting in the studio of Fernand Cormon, and continued his studies in 1919 at Paul Serusier at the Academie Ranson. Clairin exhibited in Pont Aven and New York where he was a great success. He spent time in Morocco and Algeria. Pierre was an aviator in the First World War. In the 1950s, he illustrated Montherlant's works and the works of Camus. He passed away in 1980.
