    Plinio Colombi, born in 1873 in Ravecchia, Switzerland, was a versatile artist known for his landscape paintings inspired by various regions such as the Engadine, Bernese Oberland, and Lake Thun. He also excelled in still lifes, particularly those featuring thistles, showcasing his predilection for graphic arts. Colombi worked in different locations including Paris, Bern, and Spiez, where he eventually passed away in 1951. Alongside Emil Cardinaux, he is recognized as a pioneer of poster art in Switzerland. His works can be found in prominent Swiss art museums such as the Kunstmuseum in Bern, the Bündner Kunstmuseum in Chur, and the Kunstmuseum in St. Gallen....
