    Rafael Lozano Bartolozzi was a Spanish painter and sculptor who studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and the School of Mural Painting in Sant Cugat del Vallès. He worked with Eduardo Arranz, Gerard Sala, and Robert Llimós between 1966 and 1968, and continued to work with Arranz until 1982. Bartolozzi's style included elements of erotic suggestion, and he was one of the introducers of the "happening" in Catalonia.

    He worked in various techniques, such as ceramics, illustration, sculpture, mural and easel painting. He settled in Vespella de Gaià in 1972, where he was mayor and promoted numerous cultural activities in the town, such as the open-air sculpture park.
