    Ragnar Sandberg lived from 1902 to 1972. Sandberg is one of our most important collegists, and with his unmistakable ability to portray his surroundings with joy and playfulness, he takes a special position among his contemporary artists. As one of the most prominent Swedish modernists in the 20th century, Sandberg belongs to the group of artists known as the Gothenburg Collegists. In the fall of 1936, thanks to a scholarship, Ragnar Sandberg was given the opportunity to travel to France with her former wife Elsa.

    During the winter they spent in Paris where they frequented museums and galleries, especially impressions at Sandberg made Pierre Bonnard's painting. In the spring of 1937 they traveled to Provence...
