Ramon Sanvisens Marfull was a Spanish painter, draftsman, and engraver who studied at various art schools in Barcelona. He had significant influences from artists like Van Gogh, Cézanne, Gauguin, and Bonnard during his time in Paris, as well as studying the works of Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Franz Hals in Holland. Known for his joyous palette and liberated brushstroke, he developed a post-impressionist style that evolved into a personal form of fauvism with expressionist elements. A tribute was dedicated to him at the Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc a month after his death.
