    Raphaël Dubois was born in the Belgian city of Liège (Luik) in 1888. Painter of religious compositions, genre scenes, figures, marines, landscapes, city views, nudes, still life in the Post Impressionist Style.

    Training at the Academy of Liège led by the Impressionist painter Evariste Carpentier (1845-1922).

    Participation in 1912 at the Salon d'Automne in Paris with 'La promenade du bébé' and 'Jardin d'Eden'.

    For the First World War he lived in the Veldstraat 2 in Uccle (Brussel). After the First World War he went to Paris. From 1930 to 1939 he lived on the Côte d'Azur in Nice (France). During the Second World War in Paris and Brussels.
