    Reinhard Amtsbühler was born in 1873 and passed away in 1961. A German landscape and marine painter, Amtsbühler studied at the Karlsruhe School of Arts and Crafts, training under Max Laeuger.

    In 1903, he received a Russian state commission, leading him to live in Moscow until 1918. During his time in Russia, he developed a deep appreciation for atmospheric landscapes and seasonal transitions, which became defining elements of his work.

    Amtsbühler specialized in painting harvest scenes and landscapes, often drawing inspiration from motifs of his native Baden region. His works, characterized by their atmospheric depth and naturalistic detail, captured the essence of rural life with sensitivity and precision.
